Effect of Different Remineralization Agents on Artificial Caries Lesion: An in-vitro Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: Remineralization technologies have been shown to arrest or reverse early carious lesions. This study aimed evaluate and compare the effect of different agents on enamel remineralization in-vitro.
Methods: Thirty-five blocks were prepared divided into following groups: Group 1; CaGp Xylitol-containing gel (R.O.C.S Medical Mineral Gel), 2; 1100 ppm NaF 10% CPP-ACP toothpaste (MI Paste One), 3; 0.45% SnF2-1150 F (Enamelon), 4; Positive Control-1450 (Colgate Total) 5; Negative Control (deionized water). Microhardness was measured at baseline, after demineralization, respective treatments for treatment groups using a digital Micro Vickers Hardness Tester. For producing demineralized lesions, samples stored in acidic hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC, pH=4.8) three days. The Paired Sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Tukey used data SMH recovery (%SMHR) calculated among treatments.
Results: mean baseline surface microhardness value statistically non-significant between (p=.378). CaGP Xylitolcontaining demonstrated having most protective against demineralization. potential containing novel One) almost similar positive control (1450 Fluoride toothpaste)group (p>.05).
Conclusions: All showed these can be as an effective preventive measure pediatric patients.

Effect of Different Topical Agents on Remineralization of Early Enamel Lesion– an in vitro Study
Objective: This study aimed to compare the effect of using Casein phosphopeptide – amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) paste, Remin-Pro and Fluoride Varnish on remineralization of enamel lesions. Methods: In this experimental-in vitro study, 60 intact premolars and molars were used and flat enamel surfaces were prepared. The specimens were divided into 6 groups (N=10). After primary DIAGNO...

Remineralization of Artificial Caries in Primary Teeth by Grape Seed Extract: An In Vitro Study
Background and aims. Promoting remineralization is the ultimate goal of clinical prevention of caries lesion. The present in vitro study aimed to investigate the effect of grape seed extract (GSE) on artificial enamel caries in primary human teeth. Materials and methods. Seventeen human sound primary incisors were sectioned mesiodistally. The tooth slices were placed in a demineralizing solutio...
متن کاملEffect of three different remineralizing agents on enamel caries formation--an in vitro study.
BACKGROUND Caries process is not a static one, but is dynamic with interspersed periods of demineralization and remineralization of enamel, intimately related and occurs episodically based upon the presence of cariogenic bacteria in dental plaque and the availability of refined carbohydrates for fermentation to organic acids. OBJECTIVES Early enamel caries could be reversed with avoidance of ...
